Maison Méjannes-lès-Alés
We had chosen to spend our summer holiday in 2025 in the Languedoc-Roussillon area. We thought it would be a good area for a future home in France. Before we left home, we had arranged to view various houses in the area. However, none of these were the right ones, but then a house came up for sale in the town of Méjannes-lès-Alés. We made an agreement with the real estate agent, and before we went home, we visited the house twice, which we could tell had what we were looking for.

Our choice of house
We chose this house because with it, we could check off many of our requirements:

Pool at least 4x8 m and close to the house
A 4x8 m pool close to the house
One end shallow and the other deep, perfect for both children and adults.

High ceilings in part of the house
The house has several exciting angles, is on 4 levels, and in the living room you can look up through the house.

A house with a basic good quality, but which we can also make a little mark on ourselves
The house is from 1985, architecturally designed with some well-thought-out details and good materials, but also a bit vintage.

A nice fenced garden
The house is located in a 3200 sq m olive grove. Fenced so Saxo can run around freely, and there is room for the grandchildren to play.

Minimum 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
The house is 159 square meters with 6 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a separate section with a bedroom, bathroom and small kitchen, also called a "gite" in French.

In a quiet area among French people
The house is located in a French residential area while one neighbor is fields, and it is only 5 km to Alés, a larger town with a train station and shopping facilities.
